Designed to radically reposition the rider on their bike, the all new 20mm Gravity stem from Hope moves the grips of the bar more in line with the steering of the axis of the fork, adding 35mm of stack height and shortening reach. That places the rider into a more upright position shifting weight from the arms to the legs, reducing arm pump and mitigating fatigue when riding long rough sections of trail or racetrack.
It's a wild looking concept, but one that's now been well proven even at world level with the Aon Gamux World Cup team racing this style of stem to tremendous success in both DH and Enduro competition. If you're feeling super adventurous, you could even try it backwards!
